lukiit started with one question: why is it so hard to find a good Indian restaurant deal in DFW?
The Problem We Lived
It's a Friday afternoon and you're craving a good Indian buffet. Simple enough — except finding one isn't simple at all. You open WhatsApp and start scrolling through half a dozen community groups, checking if anyone posted a deal. Nothing recent.
You switch to Facebook, then Telegram, then another WhatsApp group. You start texting friends who "always know the good spots." Some reply with restaurants you've already tried. Others suggest calling ahead. So you do — you call three or four restaurants to ask if they're running a lunch buffet today, only to find that one ended yesterday and another only runs on weekends.
By the time you've figured out your options, it's almost 2 pm. Lunch buffet hours are nearly over. You settle for whatever's closest.
We lived this frustration week after week. The deals existed. The restaurants wanted customers. We just couldn't find each other.
Why We Built lukiit
The DFW metro is home to one of the most vibrant Indian communities in the country — and some of the best Indian food outside India.
